Finding An Instrument:
Finding the right instrument for you or your child is important for your success in lessons. I highly recommend you DO NOT buy an instrument on Ebay or Amazon, no matter how cheap or good a deal it may seem. These instruments are generally not good quality and will slow progress in lessons considerably.
If you know what size violin you or your child needs, consider renting an instrument from Shar Music. I would not recommend purchasing an instrument unless you are looking for a 4/4 violin or 16.5 inch viola (i.e. an instrument you will be using long term).
If your child needs to be sized for an instrument, visit a local violin shop in your area. Either myself, or other students and parents have bought/rented instruments from:
Perrin & Associates
Gailes Violin Shop
Potter Violin Company
